The Don in Detention
A murdered Boston crime boss wakes in the body of a bullied scholarship student, with one missing ledger linking his killer to the school.
They buried a boss. He woke up in high school.
In your first life, Boston knew you as Declan Vale. You left school at sixteen and spent the next thirty-six years building an empire on the waterfront. The night you tried to stop your deputy from laundering organization money through a private-school foundation, he murdered you. You wake in a hospital as a scholarship student whom the deputy's son has been tormenting. Your new body is weak, the school thinks you are trouble, and the only useful evidence is a ledger everyone wants back. To survive, you must win power in two worlds that both believe you are harmless.
Who you will play as
You play a fifty-two-year-old crime boss reborn in the injured body of a seventeen-year-old American high school student. In your first life, Boston knew you as Declan Vale. The student name is yours; the former life's memories, enemies, and unfinished business are fixed.
"Tell me what you remember. Start wherever you can."
Keep your voice level and ask each person to identify themselves, then ask exactly what put you in the hospital.
Study the wristband, your injuries, and the belongings bag before asking for the chart and the attending physician.
Look directly at the athlete watching your backpack and ask, "You did not come here to see if I was alive. What do you want?"
